Introduction to an Interactive ECE Funding Landscape Tool
On December 12th, ECFC previewed a new interactive mapping tool to support data and information sharing in the field of Early Childhood Care and Education.
This new tool, which is a joint effort of the Heising-Simons Foundation, Foundation Center, Early Childhood Funders Collaborative, and Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute is envisioned as the beginning of an ongoing effort to more comprehensively describe the state of philanthropic support for early childhood care and education and to provide a platform for future deep dives connecting evidence on issues of interest to the field with accurate data about investment in those same issues.
This preview webinar provides:
- An overview of the mapping tool’s functionality through the lens of
use cases such as using the tool to answer key questions as part of
strategic planning process; and identifying potential
funders/grantees/collaborators. - Key takeaways from the evidence review for funders and grantees,
including what the evidence tells us about the need for funding of research
and research gaps. - Reflections from the Heising-Simons Foundation as a funder/driver of the
project.
