September 26, 2018
Co-Sponsored with the BUILD Initiative
USDHHS and USED have just released the Notice of Funding Available for the new BIRTH TO FIVE Preschool Development Grant (PDG). This will be a great opportunity for states to continue building their early childhood systems with $240M available.
ECFC members have a history of successful public-private partnerships to help states and territories apply for Federal grants and to make the most out of the funds that are available.
This webinar featured:
- Lori Connors-Tadros (CEELO) and Susan Hibbard (BUILD) sharing specifics
of the funding opportunity and the work they are helping to organize (with
the Ounce, the Alliance, EdCounsel and others) to support state leaders.
- ECFC members sharing examples of how they have in the past supported
state leaders to make the most of significant federal opportunities.
Other PDG B-5 Resources:
- An important aspect of the PDG B-5 application process will be to
inventory currently existing state needs assessments, reports, and strategic
planning efforts and align them with the needs assessment questions to
identify gaps. Click here for a list of federally mandated needs
- ZERO TO THREE developed a series of resources to support states in
including an intentional focus on infants and toddlers in PDG B-5
